SkyZone SKY02 5.8GHZ 32CH 3D FPV V3 Dual Receiver Goggles & 3D Stereoscopic Camera
3D Vision FPV Goggles, more vivid visual experience as a whole.
The new SkyZone 3D FPV V3 goggles from Foxtech feature:
- an external camera
- higher resolution screens
- new automatic head tracking feature
- a dual receiver diversity system when used in 2D
- a true dual signal transmitter and receiving system for when used in 3D mode
The system also features a built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR), so that you can post-view your races in the goggles, as well as use the AV out to replay your recording on to a bigger screen.
A diversity system uses two different video receivers and two different video antennas, to give you a better chance of receiving a clean and unobstructed signal.
These goggles have a built-in 8 channel/4 band 5.8GHZ diversity unit, which automatically selects the best receiver to transmit video through at any point. When in 3D mode the video transmitter sends a signal from both the left and right lens in the stereoscopic camera to the left and screen in the goggles, though each of the separate 5.8GHZ receivers.
The 480p external camera mounted on the front of the unit allows you to keep the goggles on for small jobs and when landing your aircraft, so that you don’t have to remove your hands from the controls or suffer from your eyes watering due to sudden exposure to bright light when removing the goggles.
The screens inside the unit are 854 x 480p (WVGA), with a 35 degree field of view (FOV).
The Skyzone 3D FPV V3 system also has a built in self-calibrating head tracking feature, with pan tracking range setting & options for PPM channel setup, allowing you to control a gimbal with just your head movements.
The unit also features adjustable brightness and contrast, as well as a volume adjustable AV in / AV out earphone socket.
Another nice feature with these goggles is that just about any lipo battery you have can power them. The input power plug accepts voltages of DC 7- 28v/1A, with a three cell lipo working best. NOTE – If you use the Futaba trainer plug you can power the goggles that way (no external lipo needed).
The goggles also have an adjustable interpupillary distance coupled with removable dioptre lenses, for maximum customisation to each end user’s eye and facial structure. They come with a pair of dipper lenses installed with no correction, however you can order additional lenses to help correct for myopic (near sighted) vision. This allows users that normally wear glasses to see far away to use the FPV goggles. People that only need reading glasses typically do not need any lens correction for the goggles.
